Off the coast of Queensland in Australia lies Fraser Island, the largest sand island on Earth. Stretching for over 120 kilometers, it is a wild and untamed landscape where endless beaches meet lush rainforest and pristine freshwater lakes.

Inland, the island reveals another side—dense tropical forest and remarkably clear lakes nestled among the dunes. Lake McKenzie stands out for its pure waters and fine silica sand, creating an almost surreal setting.
Known as K’gari, meaning “paradise” in the local Indigenous language, the island carries deep cultural significance. According to legend, it was created by a spirit who fell in love with its beauty and chose to remain there.
Yet this paradise remains wild. As night falls, dingoes roam freely, reminding visitors that nature reigns supreme here.
